Travel Insurance

There are many different types of travel insurance and policies.  The following is a brief outline of 4 different types of travel insurance.
 

Travel Medical Insurance (required) – This covers emergency medical expenses while you’re traveling outside of your home country.
 

Trip Interruption/delay Insurance (required) - covers unexpected costs incurred if you need to cut your trip short, your baggage is delayed or lost, or to cover expenses like accommodation, meals and rescheduling of flights if your trip is delayed.
 

Trip Cancellation Insurance (recommended) - provides reimbursement for prepaid, non-refundable travel expenses if you must cancel your trip before departure due to a covered reason.
 

Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) Insurance (recommended): This insurance add-on offers flexibility to cancel your trip for any reason not covered by standard policies typically reimbursing 50% - 75% of prepaid, non-refunded trip costs depending on the policy. NOTE: This insurance requires purchase shortly after booking - for example 7 days after you deposit.  This insurance also usually expires 48 hours prior to departure.
